The
Art of Lampworking:
Lampworking
in simple terms, is the ancient art form of melting glass with the use of a flame from a torch, into beads
and various sculptures. I also think that there is a bit of magic in
there too...
About
me:
I
was introduced to lampworking in the Spring of 2006. The lure of the flame had
me hooked the instant i melted my first rod of glass. In the Fall of that
same year I set up my studio. Wow what a learning experience that has been. Since then I have immersed myself in the art
form of melting glass and developed skills in bead & jewelry making, including the art of
wirework.
The
Trimmings:
Well,
the trimmings are all of it! Whether it be something special to make up as your own trimming
from some of the beautiful bead sets and focals or if
it be something special already born to trim up that outfit. I am sure that
there is something here for all! So jump on in and see what trims there are for
you.
All
my beads are lovingly made by me in my home studio, properly annealed in a
digitally controlled kiln, and cleaned with a diamond bit and dremel.
